FEE-BASED COURSES

How to enroll: Register at Willow Campus or Dibble Campus Main Offices Monday thru Friday (office closed on Saturdays). No in-class registration available. Bring a copy of your registration form and receipt to the first class.
Fee-Based classes are supported solely from student fees. No refunds for Fee-Based classes unless cancelled by school.

All Fee-Based courses must have a minimum number of pre-registered and pre-paid prior to class start date. There will be no classes on January 21, February 11 & 18, and April 1-5, 2013.

Basic Life Support (BLS) - For Health Care Professionals Basic CPR
(American Heart Association)
Cardio pulmonary resuscitation hands on skills for adults, children, and infants, one & two man rescue, pocket mask & Ambu bag training. Also includes AED instruction, and 25 question test on completion of course. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.Cost: $60. Please bring self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your certification card mailed to you. Book: $17 to be purchased at registration and is required to attend the class. The book should be reviewed prior to class. Certification Card: $7 CASH payable in class to instructor ONLY.

Basic First Aid (American Heart Association)
Basic First Aid includes hands on skills in bleeding, burns, and other medical and injury emergencies. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Cost: $50 for First Aid only, $20 if taken with CPR or BLS Class. Book: $17 to be purchased at registration, and is required to attend the class. Same book used for basic CPR only need to purchase once if you are taking both classes. If taking BLS, you will need to purchase 2 books, for First Aid & BLS. Required: Read book prior to classs. Certification Card: $7 CASH payable in class to instructor ONLY.

Belly Dancing for Health
Belly Dance is a beautiful, sensual, and meditative dance open to all women! It is a low impact aerobic exercise that strengthens the body and mind inside and out while increasing one's energy. No experience necessary. Ideal for weight loss, students will enjoy learning basic steps from a variety of belly dance styles. Altogether, this class will provide a deeper appreciation and understanding of the female body while opening cultural doors. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Cost: $45 per session.

CULINARY ARTS CLASSES

Cake Decorating
Cost: $60 per session. Materials Fee: $35 for beginning decorating kit in first class. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.

Digital Photography
In this beginner class you will “TAKE A TOUR” of your camera. By the end of this class you will learn what all of those “buttons” on the camera are for. We will explore the menus and sub-menus; learn how to organize your photos on your computer and touch on basic lighting & image composition that will help you take your photography to the next level! Personal digital camera required for class. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $50, payable upon registration.

Digital Photography - Advanced
This class will pick up where our beginner class left off. We will learn how to step outside of “automatic” mode and put you the photographer more in control of your camera. There are so many features that even the basic camera holds that can bring your now average photos to the next level with only a few tools and adjustments. And you will gain a stronger understanding of what aperture, f-stop and ISO are and how to apply them. We will explore simply lighting techniques that include natural light, available light, and on camera flash. Personal digital camera required for class. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $50, payable upon registration.

Fresh Floral Design
Set no boundaries on your creativity. Explore the depths of your imagination. Learn floral design that will inspire and enhance your design skills. Tools needed: floral knife and scissors. Please notify instructor of your registration 3 days prior to class starting at (626) 333-0966. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $40 per session payable upon registration. Materials Fee: $25 per week for fresh flowers. The floral fee is to be paid to instructor weekly, for the next week’s class meeting. No refunds for flowers.

Guitar - Acoustic - Level I
Students must supply their own personal guitar. Minimum class enrollment is 4 students. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $55 per session payable upon registration.

Guitar - Acoustic - Level II
Students must supply their own personal guitar. Minimum class enrollment is 4 students. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $55 per session payable upon registration.

Fitness Cross Training
If you've tried all the latest fitness fads, have plateaued in your exercise regimen, or you want to challenge yourself, then this is the class for you. Fitness Cross Training will take you to the next level. No complicated dance moves. No crash diets or starving yourself. We'll talk about the do's and the don't's of eating healthy and nutrition. Bring ten pound weights or kettle bells. Bring towel, water, comfortable exercise attire, training shoes. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $35 per session.

Learning Electronics & Electrical Projects for the Home
This course is designed for the students to gain fundamental knowledge and skills in trouble shooting of basic electronics and electrical circuits. Recommended for electronic hobbyists, automotive, and appliance technicians. Minimum enrollment of 10 students. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $40.

Notary Public Training
Become a State approved notary public, start your own business. This intensive class is designed to equip you with everything you need to know to become an effective notary. Class will cover the “New Notary Laws” and how to pass the new test, correctly identify document signers, keep a journal, fill out certificates and avoid lawsuits. Passport photo required at time of class. Students must be 18 years old and cannot have any felony convictions. Seminar begins promptly! Due to State regulations, no one will be admitted to the classroom after it begins. Class Fee: $99. Book: $30. (Payable in class.) Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.

Notary Public Exam - Official California State
DO NOT bring personal belongings into test area. Late students will not be admitted!
To take the exam you must bring:
• A $40 check or money order payable to “Secretary of State”
• Proper identification: valid driver’s license (Canada & Mexico accepted) with photo, state issued ID, U.S. or foreign
  passport, or Military ID
• Two sharpened number 2 pencils.

Renewing Notaries
The approved Renewing Notary class will present a full review of notary laws including updates, changes with a practice exam. Class Fee: $50. Book: $30. (Payable in class.) Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.

Salsa Dancing - Beginning
Learn how to dance salsa! Learn the basic steps of salsa, right and left turns, cross body and more! In this class you will learn from the very beginning. No partner or experience necessary. Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $35 per session payable upon registration.

Salsa Dancing - Intermediate
Learn more salsa combinations, tricks and fancy turns and moves. No basic steps taught in this class, students should know all the salsa basic steps taught in the beginning class (see above). Class subject to be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met. Class Fee: $35 per session payable upon registration.
