ACCOUNTING CLERK/BOOKKEEPER

Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper perform a variety of general accounting and support tasks in an accounting department. Learn basic accounting concepts on verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents. Also on how to update and maintain, accounting journals, ledgers and records and records and reports detailing financial
business transactions.
Prerequisite: Completion of General Office Clerk or placement by Business Education orientation assessment
and ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
Must attend Business Education Orientation on January 9 at
9:00 am in Room 101. After January 9, placement assessment will be held in Computer Lab during regularly scheduled Computer Lab times. L.A.C. Appraisal Testing required
before registration into program.

GENERAL OFFICE CLERK
| |
New General Office Clerk program prepares students to work in a busy office setting. Office clerks are responsible for executing a wide range of administrative tasks associated with the daily functions of an office. Clerks may enter data, answer phone, operate office machinery, develop flyers and create PowerPoint presentations. This is a cohort program, students may test out of some components of the program such as Introduction to Computers or Keyboarding.
Prerequisite: L.A.C. Appraisal Testing required before registration into program. Placement by assessment in Business Education Orientation, January 9 at 9:00 am in Room 101. After January 9, placement assessment will be held in Computer Lab during regularly scheduled lab times.
Cost: $225. Plus books. |

The Administrative Assistant program provides advanced Microsoft Office and data management training. Many class assignments revolve around management activities such as utilizing Outlook to schedule meetings and keep calendars, prepare documents and reports for review and designing informational brochures and reports.
