About HLPAE

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education (HLPAE) is a comprehensive school, serving more than 15,000 adult and high school students annually.

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education (HLPAE) is a secondary and post-secondary institution offering entry-level and advanced courses in technology, health, business, trades, and service careers. HLPAE also offers English as a Second Language, basic academic skills, preparation for High School Equivalency, high school diploma, parent education, and citizenship classes. Hacienda La Puente Adult Education is accredited by the Commission of Council on Occupational Education (COE) for post-secondary training and by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for secondary academic programs. Individual programs at HLPAE are also accredited by different state and national accreditations. 

HLPAE provides supported employment programs for adults with disabilities, a variety of courses for older adults, parenting classes, and a broad selection of special-interest courses. HLPAE offers extensive customized training programs and services for businesses and State and County agencies. 

Student Services 

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education offers ability and aptitude assessment screening, career guidance counseling, job placement support, and student financial aid services. The school works in close association with the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD). Special support is provided for clients referred from the State Department of Rehabilitation and the County Department of Public Social Services.

Training

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education provides job training for adults with disabilities, a variety of courses for older adults, parenting classes, and a broad selection of special-interest courses.

We offer extensive customized training programs and services for businesses and State and County agencies.

Accreditation

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education is applying for reaffirmation of accreditation with the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education. Persons wishing to make comments should write to the Executive Director of the Commission, Council on Occupational Education. Persons making comments must provide their names and mailing addresses.

We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for secondary academic programs.

HLPAE is also receiving other State and National accreditations for individual programs.

We are a state-approved General Educational Development (GED) testing center.
