Adult Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program

Orientations Every Tuesday 9AM

Our first priority is helping people in need find sustainable employment. We will help you identify how your current skills and experience can translate to new opportunities. We will also help you receive the training, certification or education you need to help you advance in your chosen field of employment or explore new career avenues. Some of our services are listed below.

  • Training, Certifications and Education
  • Community and Government Resources
  • One-on-One Career Counseling
  • Access to Computers, Internet and Phones

Qualifications:

  • Must live in Los Angeles County
  • Register on www.CalJOBS.ca.gov (Must upload current resume as well)
  • Must be unemployed or under employed
  • Provide proof of income (6 months)
  • 18 years of age or above
  • Provide proof of legal right to work in U.S.

Youth@Work Program

Orientations: Every Tuesday at 2:30 PM

The Youth@Work Program is a local year round “Earn and Learn” program designed to help earn money and gain work experience to put on your resume. You will learn valuable skills like mock interviewing, resume writing, and how to fill out application is our 20 hour paid training program.

Qualifications:

  • Must live in Los Angeles County
  • Must be between the ages of 14-24
  • Valid School Work Permit if under 18
  • Valid School ID or CA ID Card
  • Provide proof of legal right to work in U.S.
  • Priority for: HS Dropouts, Parents, Foster, Probation, Homeless, Low-Income, and Uniquely Abled

Youth

LA County youth residents ages 14 to 24 that have the right to work in the United States are eligible to apply. Through Youth at Work, you will:

  • Receive 160 hours of personal enrichment training and paid work experience
  • Earn $16.90 per hour
  • Have the opportunity to work for a variety of employers in the public, private, or non-profit sectors
  • Potential long-term employment options and training

  • Be connected to a youth worker receiving subsidized wages for 100 hours

ReEntry Program

The Re-entry program is tailored specifically to individuals whom are ex-offenders. We will help you receive services through the AJCC that includes re-entry employment assistance. Under the program, you will receive services for:

  • On-the-Job Training Opportunities
  • Coaching Support
  • Supportive Services
  • Retention and follow up services

Are you in search of qualified employees? Here we alleviate daily recruitment pressures by performing as an extension of your business. Meet with one of our Business Service Representatives, or for the ultimate convenience, at your place of business, and we will match you with qualified candidates cultivated from among the thousands of job seekers we assist annually. Many of these applicants have received career guidance and skills training to increase their on-the-job performance and retention.
