Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)

Total hours: 200 hours (Accelerated) 

The Certified Nursing Assistant Program prepares students to take the California Nurse Assistant Competency Exam and to find employment in a skilled nursing or other long-term care facility. 

Prerequisite: 

1. Proof of High School Diploma OR High School Diploma Equivalency, AND pass reading and basic math assessment. 
2. Complete Physical examination by MD or Nurse Practitioner. Must use HLPUSD Physical Form. Please obtain form from school, complete it and submit by the start of CNA CLASS. Must include two step PPD and Flu vaccine. If TB test is positive please obtain CXR and submit copy of both reports. Previous complete COVID Vaccines ARE required for clinicals. All health documents must be current and valid. 
3. Students MUST undergo fingerprinting and background clearance through HLPAE before the start of class. 
4. Age 17 years and 6 months or older, proof of High School Diploma OR High School Diploma Equivalency. 

Cost: Tuition $435, Health Prerequisites (CPR/BLS, live scan, physical exam, 2 step PPD, flu shot) $401, BLS/First Aid card $96, books $92, uniform (two uniforms, one pair of white shoes) $161, materials (stethoscope/BP cuff, gait belt, watch with second hand) $103, State Licensing Fees $120, ID badge $5, insurance $18, LiveScan $50.

Classes meet CE requirements for the CNA License renewal. Approved by the California Department of Public Health. (NAC #6019) 

Students must pre-register at the Willow front office during regular weekday business hours, no later than 12:00 PM on the Thursday prior to class.
