Medical Assistant

Total hours: 740 hours 

Medical Assistant program will prepare you for employment in medical offices and clinics in various disciplines in health care. This program is 2 semesters long, during which you will learn front and back office skills as well as complete medical terminology, Electronic health records, human anatomy and physiology and review of most common diseases associated with each system and much more. You will also receive your BLS and first aid certification by attending a prescheduled course as part of you Medical assistant training. (Includes Front Office and Back Office, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, 180 hours externship.)

Pre-requisites: Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent required for Morning Class, not required for Evening Class. Basic computer knowledge needed. Mandatory program orientation required.

CA State Licensing Requirement: Social Security Number or Tax Payer ID Number. 

Cost: Tuition $2,425, books $62, uniforms (two uniforms) $110, materials (stethoscope/BP cuff) $50, and ID badge $5, insurance $18, Health Prerequisites (CPER/BLS) $96 (Due to AHA provider, cost may vary)
