IE T, ES L and Pharmacy Technician Student 2023
I first enrolled in ES L (English as a Second Language) classes at the Hudson campus. It was in class where I learned about the technical career courses offered at the Willow Center.
Esthetician Class of 2022
The choices we make can affect our lives, both positively and negatively. For me, making the choice to attend the Hacienda La Puente Adult Education (HLPAE) Esthetician program has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made.

Ellen shares that the ESL classes have changed her life. She is thankful to the U.S. government, the adult school and teachers who are always willing to support her. Ellen is also grateful for the education she and new immigrants receive in this country.
Nursing Student
Francisco is eager to learn, is coachable, and doesn’t make any excuses.” In addition to working, raising a family, and attending school, Francisco was also a regional Skills USA competitor who took first place in First Aid and CPR events.

This institution has played a crucial role in shaping my nursing path. The knowledgeable nursing instructors at HLPAE, particularly Mrs. Silva Davila, have been instrumental in my education. Mrs. Davila's dedication to teaching patient safety and providing compassionate care has been truly inspiring.
Cosmetology Student 2023
I have made lifelong friendships along this journey, and everyone in my class was able to acquire Cosmetology skills in a fun environment that was a good fit with each of our personalities and strengths.
Former Adult Ed Student
In May of 2020, Miguel received a call from his instructor, Ms. Ayala, inviting him to attend the newly designed Distance Learning Esthetician class, utilizing the Zoom and Google Classroom platforms.
Culinary Student
Rose’s desire to become a chef led her to enroll at HLPAE, where she started in the HIL program, which offers customized instruction for adult students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
HiSE T graduate Class of 2022 and current HVAC student
My journey did not stop once I passed the HiSE T. I decided to take advantage of a CTE scholarship and enrolled in HLPAE ’s HVAC program. Thus far, I have earned certifications in Refrigeration to gain access to the field of HVAC /R, and I am on track to completing the program in May.
Nursing Student
Veronica knew a co-worker who had graduated from the Hacienda La Puente Adult Education (HLPAE) Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and so she applied to enter the program.
